The privacy policy forms part of our website terms. Please take time to read our policy to understand how we treat your personal information.

Information Collected
The personal information that we collect from you when completing an online form (such as name, address, email address, will only be held on our systems to manage your account and inform you of all information relating to us. Newsletters sent by us are a strict no spam policy.

GDPR
GDPR is the biggest change to UK data privacy law in 20 years.

Technological advancements mean the amount of personal data being generated is rapidly increasing, to which the law needs updating to better protect people and their data.

GDPR is about giving you more control over your data: what data we hold and how we can use it. This can range from something as simple as your name.

To comply with GDPR you can choose how we contact you, whether it be by email, telephone or mail. You are free to change your mind at any time.

As one of our customers, we normally utilise email to send out weekly films and schedule updates. We do not sell your data to any 3rd party organisation. Occasionally we may contact you by telephone, for example if there is a late change to a pre-booked screening which is time sensitive.

We hold your data in 3 different areas, depending on the type of event being actioned.

Your data is held in the following places:

  • Savoy Systems, our ticketing software provider. When you book tickets online or in the cinema, Savoy handles this request.
  • Website database. If you have authorised us to email you, we export your data to our website data to organise this information before sending out our marketing material.
  • Mailchimp. We use Mailchimp for our email marketing, export the data from our website into Mailchimp before sending. Mailchimp is one of the largest marketing services in the world. Their Privacy Policy can be viewed here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/
 
How we protect your information
We take every precaution to safeguard your information. All personal information that is stored by us is kept on a server in a secure environment. We cannot guarantee the security of data you release online and you accept that the Internet is not entirely secure and agree that we shall not be liable for unlawful use, circulation or destruction of your personal information. Our website provides an encrypted connection to pass any data.

Cookies
Cookies are files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to the device you use when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies do lots of different and useful jobs, such as remembering your preferences, and generally improving your online experience.

We use session cookies which last only for the duration of your visit and are deleted when you close your browser. These facilitate various tasks such as allowing a website to identify that a user of a particular device is navigating from page to page, supporting website security or basic functionality. This will be called PHPSESSID.

  • _gat, _ga and _gid - these are Google Analytics, which allows us to monitor your presence on our website and what pages you visit. This allows us to make informed decisions about design and development to enhance user experience.
